The location
66 East 11th Street, Greenwich Village is an area steeped in modern culture and history, making it a location that is hard to beat. Some of the defining moments in 20th century American cultural history played themselves out in this characterful Greenwich Village neighbourhood, with a veritable pantheon of supreme American cultural icons shaping that history right here – from Jackson Pollock and the New York School of Action Painters to Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix, who called this neighbourhood home and wrote rock history here on their way to immortal fame. The great Welsh poet Dylan Thomas spent his last days here (in the pubs down the road), inspiring Bob Dylan, who lived nearby, to adopt his name.
